I wonder how they will change my "vision"?

Hey, I have the same contact case!

I've actually worn contact lenses since 1978, but tomorrow I am picking up a new pair -- multi-focal contact lenses, which are supposed to function for both far and near vision. We'll see how well they work ....

Yea, this is my first time, and I'm thinking I made a mistake. I'll give them a few days, and give myself some time to adjust, but my eyes are so very tired and ... sore (?) ... tonight. The doctor mentioned the multi-focal lenses to me, but since he already prescribed the toric (for nearsightedness), he didn't think adding the bi-focal to the lense would be a good fit.

Maybe I need lasik. ;-)

Hmmm, I thought toric was for astigmatism. I also wear torics, and I'm near-sighted too. Contact lenses are the greatest thing that have ever happened to me--in fact, I get a headache whenever I wear my glasses for more than 30 minutes now! So I'd say hang in there for a while to see if it gets better...

Give yourself a week or 2 to adjust to the contacts. I love them and I've worn them since the late 80s.

My eyes do get tired if I am staring at the computer screen too much. I have some rewetting drops which help that though.

Great picture, as usual!

I hope things work out for you with the contacts!

I cannot wear contacts. I can't get them on my eyes because it just freaks me way the hell out to have my finger coming toward my eye like that. So congratulations for managing to actually put them in.
