Looking through frosted glass (striped) doors into a swimming pool?
hmmm. light reflected to something on the ceiling like an a/c vent. unless you've got it flipped. if it's flipped, maybe it's the back of a monitor (the vent slat thingys).

Ok, a few hints: it's not a staircase and it has nothing to do with steps. It is not flipped or rotated in any way. I did, however, bump up the contrast just a bit. :-)
Morning light coming through the back windshield of a car that's partially defrosted.
(Okay, I know that probably isn't right, given your location, but that's what it looks like to me.)

okay, last guess. either the ceiling of a parking garage or overpass....
this was inital thought when i first saw the photo but didn't think it would have so many "beams".
Jay, you are EXACTLY RIGHT!!! It is the corrugated tin (I think) roof under which I park my car. The sunlight was quite bright that day and was reflecting up onto the metal. Since I took the photo at an angle, the "beams" look much smaller in places than they would in real life. Upping the contrast just a tad also changed the appearance of the pic.
You are so good!!!
Now, I must think of a prize . . . . :-)
